Our method of treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. In Espai Tau Kids both the psychologist and the neuro-speech therapist, are specialists in Autism Spectrum Disorder. And, besides of knowing this condition, the most important thing is that we love working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We believe they have much to offer and above all we like to emphasize that they are the ones who teach us another perspective of the world that sometimes goes unnoticed. Working with children with ASD comes out of our heart, hence the name: Gregal Method which for us it is the combination of our two lands (Greece and Galicia). We work in a coordinated manner, blending techniques and treatments scientifically supported methods such as the TEACCH, ABA, PECS, DENVER, but always providing an interdisciplinary approach to ensure holistic intervention of each individual case. We work together with the family, school and child in the development of therapeutic targets. These objectives are embodied in targeted and structured activities guided by our professionals. Parents act as co-therapists in the process because they provide guidelines and tools to generalize learning to different contexts. About school, in addition to the above, we conduct lectures and training activities for teachers. We also have support professionals who work within the school both with the child and with teachers. So we believe that collaboration with other professionals is essential for proper development of each individual and so is the inter/multidisciplinary dynamic that we follow. Our therapies are guided by the creativity and imagination of our professionals and freedom of the child to integrate elements to our interventions. His/her opinion matters and interests much more for the sessions focused on him/her. Having a motivated child is the best ingredient for a good intervention and what we care about most. As the linchpin of the sessions, our professionals trained in emotional and cognitive behavioral education tailored to each particular case to guide the session and follow-up.
